    ABOUT US
Hailing from the south coast of the UK...

Born in 2019, our band has already seen the release of two EPs, two covers, nine music videos, one pandemic and four lockdowns! After debut EP 'Painted Gold' was released, we got off to a quick start building a following both online and in our hometown, allowing us to begin to play several tours and shows around the UK, receiving positive feedback on our sound, set-up and energetic presence, and drawing comparisons to the likes of pop-punk heavyweights State Champs, All Time Low and Neck Deep.

2020-2021 saw an interesting line-up change with the introduction of Tom Guildford (bass) and Tom Trowbridge (drums) followed by the gradual, albeit delayed (what wasn't that year though, right?), release of our second EP 'A Spark To Ignite', recorded with Neck Deep's Seb Barlow - containing our most popular songs to date. We landed the first two singles 'Fair-Weather Friend' and 'Out of Reach' in Spotify playlists such as Pop Punks Not Dead and New Punk Tracks, meaning our music began to be heard all over the world, earning us spots on Alt Press lists 'Top 10 Rising UK Pop Punk Bands' and '13 Artists who are reclaiming the pop-punk music scene in 2021'.

Those years also saw the increase in radio play with Alex Baker fulfilling childhood dreams by premiering Worldwide Catastrophe on Kerrang! Radio, whilst Idobi Radio in the US and VoiceFM locally have had the entire EP rotating heavily since it's release.

2021 ended with a cover of the years most popular song - Justin Bieber & The Kid Laroi's 'Stay', which only raised our presence further and began to break us onto the pop punk TikTok scene, bringing a new audience and a chance to show people how unfunny we truly are.

2022 got off to a flying start, we changed things up and collaborated with our friends in Two Year Break to dabble in a heavier track 'Double Life' before running riot on tour together. Not ready to rest on that, we worked with new producers in Jon Lundin (Point North) and Grant Berry (All Time Low, Stand Atlantic) on our new singles "Home" and "Let Me Go", seeing the latter premiere on BBC Introducing for the first time followed by additional airplay on Radio 1, taking another step forward in our journey as one of the countries most exciting up and coming bands.

2023 started with our largest UK tour to date in support of US artists The Dollyrots and Don't Panic. After travelling up from our sunny south coast to Scotland and everywhere in between, we did it all over again on our own headline tour with Autumn Fires, which included sell-out dates in London, Southampton and Leeds. These packed rooms got to experience the new collab single 'Circles' with Autumn Fires, which was mixed by Clint Murphy (Busted, Enter Shikari).

After returning from this tour we went straight into the studio and dropped two new singles 'Daydreamer' and 'Crazy', both mixed by Sam Guaiana (Between You & Me, Neck Deep).

This brought forward a new era for Royals and set us up for a booming UK tour with our management Down For Life Music, with rave reviews on every date and goers getting to experience a truly unique 'matesfest' with bands rotating each night, joining each other on stage, macarenas, congas, sh*t shirts... you name it, it was here.

2023 ended with a festive twist, with our decision to cover Ariana Grande's Santa Tell Me going down a storm with local radio and really showcasing Luke's dulcet tones.

In 2024 we came through as semi-finalists in the Takedown Showcase and made it to the final of Kerrang Radio's 'The Deal', very closely missing out on a recording deal and chance to play at Download Festival.

After a lengthy period in the studio crafting and refining what comes next, 2025 is set to be a definitive moment for the band.

    Let's make some noise.

    - Luke, Will, Tom & Tom

"Putting the “pop” in pop punk, Royals are dosing the genre with an extra shot of energy. Seriously, we challenge you to stream any of their upbeat, catchy tracks without compulsively bopping along. The bands latest single “Fair-Weather Friend' is essential for any modern pop-punk playlist."
