The first Maya artist to reach international acclaim, Sara’s voice is more than music—it’s a movement.

Hailing from the Kaqchikel people of Guatemala, her music is a powerful blend of folk, rock, reggae, and cumbia infused with the spirit of her ancestral roots.

Performing as a quartet alongside three exceptional female musicians, Sara’s live show is a rich, immersive experience. Traditional Marimba, folk guitar, bass, and drums are joined by Maya instruments like cane flutes and ocarinas—creating a soundscape that is timeless and deeply rooted in cultural pride.

A passionate advocate for Indigenous rights and gender equality, Sara’s music carries messages of love, resilience, and hope. Her latest album, Mujer Indígena, features collaborations with global icons including Lila Downs and Amparo Sánchez, celebrating the voices and stories of Indigenous women.
