A melting pot for contemporary jazz, ethereal South African harmonies with a soft touch of experimental electronic music. The neo-soul quartet takes us on a voyage that brings separate cultures and sounds together this autumn.
The multi-national band incorporates elements of South, African, Swazi, American and German culture into their music, blending a diverse range of jazz, soul and hip hop reminiscent of influential artists like Robert Glasper, Kamaal Williams and Terrace Martin. Their latest album Konke, featuring Grammy-nominated singer Georgia Anne Muldrow and hip hop wordsmith Oddisee, is a testament to the power of bringing cultures together with beatific grooves that radiate with alluvial soul, celestial jazz, electronic experimentation and the polyrhythmic essence of Africa.
Singers Zoe Modiga and Ndumiso Manana grace the lead vocals over production from Philip Scheibel and band founder Sebastian Schuster. Each artist works in harmony with a phenomenal production that showcases their raw hypnotic swung like hip-hop beats, soulful vocals and immersive live performance.
