The C33s are Punk/Garage/Surf tinged band from Manchester consisting of Judy Jones (drums, vocals), Cav Green (guitar, vocals) and Ste Phillips (bass).
Their sound is an East coast meets West coast affair, ramped up Ramones pop fused with full on Dick Dale twang. If Pulp Fiction were set in a satellite town The C33s just wrote the soundtrack.
Back 2018 The C33’s unleashed their first EP, '48 Hours at Neon Palms’, played their debut gig at Jimmy's Mcr and made a big impact on the MCR music scene. Shortly after they were invited to tour with CABBAGE and bagged themselves a record deal with These Bloody Thieves Records and a publishing deal with Wipeout Music Publishing (Sleaford Mods, Pigs X7).
Their 2019 release, 'Manic Depression', earned amazing reactions and gleaned national radio play including BBC Radio 1 (Huw Stephens), BBC Radio 6 (Chris Hawkins), XS Manchester (Mike Joyce) and Amazing Radio (Jim Gellatly). Championed by BBC Introducing Manchester (Michelle Hussey & Natalie Eve Williams) Their follow up releases in 2019, 'Big Winner’ & ‘Resurrection Men’ received airplay from BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens, John Kennedy at Radio X and Shell Zenner at Amazing Radio.
By the end of 2019 after touring with Catholic Action the band had a real heat surrounding them. The flourishing accolades were well earned and proven by a sell out hometown headline show at Night People & Twisted Wheel Club.
The C33s kick off 2020 with a headline in Liverpool, & other select UK dates including a slot at Stockton Calling Festival. Their new single will be on the way by spring ’20, and their next hometown headline gig will be at The Eagle Inn, on 1st May.
"A dead exciting new band from Manchester. Garagey, gritty & will leave a scar on your mind. The future is bright. The future is The C33s." Chris Hawkins, BBC 6 MUSIC
"If Quentin Tarantino invented a band to write tunes for his future films they would be called The C33s. One of the best debuts this year for me." (Louder Than War).
"The C33s refresh the parts other bands cannot reach! Cav, Judy and Ste are definitely one of the most exciting and talented garage punk combos on the planet." (Northern Jon)
