  • Phil Walker

    Phil Walker

    Comedy

Phil’s act has taken him to some weird & wonderful places, from a scout hut in Unst in the Shetland Isles to a porta-cabin on mount Alice in the Falkland Islands, basically he’ll go anywhere for a laugh! Phil started his career on the tough holiday park circuit working for the likes of Butlins. Then at the turn of the millennium he decided a change of direction was needed in order for him to progress, so after an open spot at the Frog & bucket comedy club in Manchester he turned his attentions to the Comedy Club scene.

Shortly after in 2002 at the famous Comedy store in Manchester he was voted City Life Comedian of the year, Previous winners include Peter Kay & Steve Coogan. As well as regular gigs at the Comedy Store where he was also part of the successful Men @ work improv nights, Phil has become a headline act at most of the leading comedy clubs throughout the country including Jongleurs, The Stand, The Last laugh, The Frog and Bucket, Komedia, Laughter lounge Dublin, Manfords. Internationally for Sensatori hotels Comedy cellar & on cruise ships for the likes of Carnival. Phil also runs his very own club "Woofers" in his home town of Lytham, Lancashire where for the last 4 years he has brought some of the UK`s finest talents to the fylde coast including a certain Jason Manford who popped in to try out some new jokes! He also recently began presenting a family friendly show "Phil Walker`s comedy for kids" at Preston guild hall (see my kids page) where he has a huge fan base through his recent Pantomime appearances. He made his debut at the Edinburgh festival in 2012 where he received four star critical acclaim for his show "Is this it? Phil is also proud to have entertained over 4000 troops on two tours of war torn Afghanistan as part of the CSE comedy club which he describes as, "I’ve played to some tough crowds in my time but they where never armed to the teeth with machine guns before, thank God they liked me! His act has become a firm favourite with the armed forces & has seen him touring places as far a field as The Falkland Islands, Kosovo, Kuwait, Bosnia & Germany, appearing with fellow comics as well as megastars including eighties icons Tony Hadley & Bucks Fizz! Phil’s television credits to date include, Talking telephone numbers - ITV1 (three series), Live at Jongleurs - Paramount, The Big Stage - Ch 5, Today with Des & Mel - ITV1 (three series).

As well as performing his stand up Phil also works as a voice over artiste, His recent credits include: The Oddkinsons, Manchester United, Dancing with the Stars, & Tizer. Phil has also appeared in Pantomime, notching up 11 consecutive years at King Georges hall in Blackburn in Cinderella on Ice, Jack & the Beanstalk, Dick Whittington, Aladdin, Sleeping beauty, Snow White, The Snow Queen, Peter Pan, Mother Goose. Since 2015 Phil has been associated with the annual pantomimes at Preston guild hall`s Charter theatre as writer/director & actor in their productions of Sleeping Beauty, Jack & the Beanstalk &  Aladdin. 2018 will see him return to Preston in Cinderella as Buttons. His great act, along with his warm personality charm (& great looks!) has made Phil one of the most sought after comics around today.

  • Steve Royle

    Steve Royle

    Comedy

Steve is a comedian, radio presenter, actor, writer, husband and Dad. His wife, Janet, actually went into labour with their first child, Daisy, whilst Steve was presenting live on air with Sally Naden!

For over 12 years Steve could be found in the guise of "Mad Edgar" the court jester at Camelot theme park where he presented over 2000 "Crazy Juggling Shows". He has also supported both Peter Kay and Dave Spikey on tour and was voted "Entertainer of the Year" at the recent Red Rose Awards.

His many TV appearances have included "Phoenix Nights", "Max & Paddy", "Behind The Scene", "That's Entertainment", "Stand-up Britain", "Give Your Mate A Break", "The Afternoon Show", "Talk Of The North", "The Things You Do For Love", and despite being one of the North West's healthiest males, a medical insurance commercial for "Medicash".

Steve is also co-founder of the "Slaughterhouse-Live" ("Laughter" with an "S") character comedy nights. The group regularly perform at "The Comedy Store" and they were nominated in the "best touring show" category at the Manchester Comedy Awards, losing out to Peter Kay!

In his rare spare time Steve prefers to throw food around the kitchen rather than balls in the air, as he loves cooking, and dreams of one day owning his own "Juggler" themed restaurant where all dishes are served in 3's! Let's hope it "Catches On"!

Steve hits the airwaves on BBC Radio Lancashire on Saturdays between 10am-1pm.

  • Norman Prince

    Norman Prince

    Comedy

Norman Prince has been involved in the ‘World of Entertainment’ for over 40 years! After leaving the hugely popular Houghton Weavers Folk Group, of which he was the Leader and front man for 24 years, he has spent the past 14 years as a Comedian, Compere, Radio Presenter, Singer/musician and general all-round entertainer and is now established as a regular ‘Guest Comedian’ for the P&O Cruise Line, entertaining passengers from ‘Bolton to Boston’, from Queensland to Quebec, and all points in between!

He is acknowledged by many of his peers as the ‘King of Comperes’ and his natural personality and good humour have also made him a ‘must’ for auctioneering for fund-raising events – he may not be able to get ‘blood out of a stone’ but he can certainly smooth it down, change its colour, and get a lot better price for it!

He has worked as Host/MC raising money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice, Bolton Hospice, and Springhill Hospice, Rochdale, of which he has been a Patron for 15 years, and he was the main auctioneer responsible for raising a ‘record-breaking’ £65,000 for the Bury Hospice Chrystal Fund-Raising Ball in 2008! As far as his first love of ‘Folk Songs and Humour’ is concerned you only have to look at his ‘Live in Concert page to see – the love is still there!
