Master drummer / percussionist and world music pioneer Trilok Gurtu brings his band to London for an exclusive date to launch his 20th solo album "God is a Drummer".
Trilok Gurtu has stood at the confluence of where Indian classical music, Western jazz and funk, African music and Brazilian music meet throughout his 40-plus year career.
Over the years, Trilok Gurtu has worked with a 'who's who' of musicians including John McLaughlin, Joe Zawinul, Jan Garbarek, Don Cherry, Bill Evans, Pharoah Sanders, Dave Holland, Zakir Hussain, Salif Keita, Oumou Sangare, Neneh Cherry, Omara Portuondo, Pat Metheny, Talvin Singh, Nitin Sawhney, Asian Dub Foundation, Lalo Schifrin, Gilberto Gil, Bill Laswell and many more
