Having grown up in Jersey and the Caribbean, Sam Walwyn developed a sound rich with his experiences, blending indie folk and alt pop, tinted with flamenco influences. His curiosity for different musical cultures influenced his songwriting and use of rhythm.

Sam took this time to develop his sound and started uploading live clips and short films to Instagram with his lo-fi bedroom demos behind them. Early support from fans attracted the interest from local promoters leading Sam to open for Gabrielle Aplin and share the stage with Newton Faulkner.Sam’s debut singles “For You”, released in 2020, received significant traction, gaining over 400k streams, being featured on two major Spotify editorial playlists ‘Easy’ and ‘Your Coffee Break’ and was picked up by the BBC Introducing as ‘Track of the Week’. After releasing his second single “Clutter”, which was again selected as ‘Track of the Week’ by the Introducing team, Sam started posting on TikTok, sharing guitar melodies and originals. One of his posts went viral, reaching more than 6 million views and helping build an audience of more than 100k followers. In February 2021 he was selected to represent the Channel Island on a BBC introducing collaborative song that has been supported by Radio 1, and was selected as '2021 One To Watch’ artist by the BBC Channel Islands.Sam’s debut EP ‘How Would I Know’ is out now on all streaming platforms

 Michele Bucceri

Soon after listening to his first CD as a kid, Outlandos d’Amour, OTTO soon realized his love for guitar and grabbed his first one at 12 years old. During his first project, the band “The Bloom” (which played in venues such as the Blue Note, Serraglio Milano), his natural passion for songwriting arose. At the age of 19, the feeling that music could be the main journey of his life grew stronger: he quit uni and enrolled at the music college in London, where he moved in Sept 2020. After a first troubled year, he decided to quit academic paths and concentrate on what still was missing: starting his solo project, giving life to all those songs that he wrote and that were hiding in his diaries, waiting to be sung. While gigging around the city, his debut single, featuring Atli, was finally recorded. On April 22nd he released a live session of one of his most personal tunes: “Lil’ Blue Jay”. Now, before starting his first album work, OTTO released his third single, “CIRCLES”.

BEN KIDSON
Embodying the assertive DIY attitude of punk rockers, but placed in a commercial environment, Ben Kidson moves with the times. His music combines modern pop writing and production elements (think harry styles, taylor swift), with the alternative rock energy and arrangement of his heroes, Nirvana.
2022 was a breakout year, Ben was a finalist at the Isle of Wight Festival’s ‘New Blood’ Competition, and at the American Express Gold Unsigned competition. If you’ve used Tiktok recently, you’ll see and hear him on an advert for Amex, which has had over 7 million views to date, and if you use Amazon Prime, you’ve likely seen him in ‘Unsigned’, a documentary about the competition itself.
