Twenty-two-year-old Bulgarian-American singer/songwriter Vianne is carving her own path in the international music scene, effortlessly weaving together the timeless allure of classic soul and jazz with a fresh, contemporary edge. Her music is a captivating blend of the timeless soulfulness reminiscent of Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, infused with a modern, innovative spirit all her own.
Her 2023 EP, "Blue," was a collaboration with Silas Short and the Grammy-winning Taylor Graves (Thundercat), and it gave listeners a clear sense of where her music was headed.
Born Vianne Ignatoff in Tucson, Arizona, Vianne's early life was a fascinating blend of cultures, moving between Bulgaria and the United States. Music became her constant companion, helping her develop a broad appreciation for everything from R&B to classic jazz. By thirteen, a musical career became her unwavering goal, a vision that materialized early with her breakout single ‘Drop Dead’ reaching over a million streams by the age of sixteen.
Her stage presence earned her a spot at SXSW in 2022, and she has since shared the stage with a variety of artists, including Snarky Puppy, Macy Gray, Jordan Rakei, Chet Faker, and Bilal. Now based in London, where she refined her craft studying Music Production at the University of the Arts London, she has supported artists like Izzy Bizu and the Ronnie Scott’s band, and has headlined venues including The Lower Third, Half Moon Putney, The Dublin Castle, and House of Koko.
The upcoming release of her second EP, “Time Passes,” co-written and co-produced with Jacob Lobo of Geejay, promises to unveil further layers of her artistic identity.
