  • Cherry

    Cherry

    Music

At just 21 years old, Cherry is already carving out a place for herself in music—a
place that doesn’t quite fit into any box, and that’s exactly who she is. Born and
raised in the working-class neighborhood of Maryhill in Glasgow, Cherry’s sound
is a reflection of her complexities: a mix of soulful melodies, indie rock swagger,
and a gritty honesty that hits right in the heart. But don’t expect any typical
popstar gloss. Cherry’s music is raw, unapologetic, and deeply personal. Her
world is one where vulnerability and strength exist side by side, and her music
invites you into that space with every note.
Cherry grew up surrounded by music, her family home buzzing with the sounds
of icons Culture Club, The Clash and Madonna — voices that would influence
her approach to songwriting. But Cherry’s music doesn’t simply draw from the
past; her influences are Paramore, Oasis and Amy Winehouse expelling a fresh,
powerful blend of heartfelt soul and rock ‘n’ roll energy, with an undeniable
indie edge from her. Her sound is shaped by a raw emotional honesty and a
bold, scathing attitude, underscored by biting sarcasm and a weird sense of
humor that reflects the kind of complexity that makes her her.

Cherry’ songs are heart-on-sleeve confessions, deeply drawn from her own
experiences with everything from the complexities of womanhood to struggles
with mental health, the toxic nature of societal expectations, and painful
encounters with abuse and relationships gone wrong. But even in the darkest
moments, Cherry’s music never loses its fire—it’s always a testament to survival,
resilience, and the ongoing fight to stay true to oneself. Her lyrics are a
masterclass in poetic storytelling, blending blunt honesty with an extraordinary
sense of imagery. Cherry has an uncanny ability to capture the world around
her—painting vivid, visceral scenes with words that invite you to step directly into
her shoes. Whether she’s exploring raw personal experiences or commenting on
the complexities of life, her songs are more than just stories; they’re emotional
landscapes, where every line is an invitation to feel, to empathise, and to see
the world through her eyes. There’s a rare depth in her words—a haunting
beauty that resonates with anyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or lost.
It’s this gift for transforming pain into art and distilling life’s most complicated
moments into poetry that makes her music so profoundly relatable with depth.
Despite the weight of the subject matter, Cherry’s sense of humor and
irreverence always shine through. Behind the music, there’s a sharp wit and a
tongue-in-cheek attitude that can be found in the way she engages with her
fans. Whether sharing moments of chaos or the strangeness that comes with
being a 21-year-old artist navigating the industry, Cherry brings a level of
authenticity to her online presence that matches the rawness of her music. Her
ability to blend these different sides of herself is part of what makes her so
captivating—her art, her persona, and her sense of humor are all parts of the
    same whole.
On stage, Cherry’s performance is a revelation. She doesn’t just sing; she lays it
all out there - One of the defining aspects of Cherry’s artistry is the sheer
emotional power and magnetism she exudes on stage. There’s an undeniable,
raw energy in her live performances that captivates everyone in the room. It’s
not just her voice—although that alone is enough to command attention—it’s
the way she moves through her songs with an effortless, uncontrived presence.
Cherry is completely natural, free from any artifice or forced theatrics. When she
takes the stage, she’s fully present, and this authenticity creates an immediate
connection with her audience. You don’t just watch her perform; you feel as
though you’re experiencing her world firsthand, as if her emotions and energy
are woven directly into the room.

Her performances aren’t polished to perfection—they’re messy, vulnerable, and
human, and that’s what makes them so compelling. There’s a certain pull that
draws the audience in, something intangible yet powerful. It’s this raw, magnetic
quality that makes Cherry’s shows unforgettable: a mix of swagger and
vulnerability, strength and fragility, all wrapped up in one electrifying
performance. She has the rare ability to make you feel both like you’re part of
her world and like you’ve stepped into a place that’s entirely her own. She has
already shared stages with the likes of The Libertines, Glasvegas, and Willie J
Healey, proving she can hold her own with some of the UK’s most influential
acts, and her growing reputation for powerful, emotionally charged
    performances continues to build.
This raw, emotional connection to her art is particularly evident in her upcoming
releases. Cherry has a string of demos ready for release throughout 2025, starting
with her EP, set to drop on February 14th, 2025. The first single, Epiphany, is a
hypnotic introduction to her work, capturing everything she’s about in one track.
As Cherry herself explains, Epiphany is about the light and dark sides of being a
    woman in a man's world.
As 2025 unfolds, Cherry is poised to take her place as one of the most exciting
new voices in music. Her sound is a blend of everything she loves but with her
stamp all over it committing fully to her own lifes authenticity. With a wave of
new releases on the horizon and a rapidly expanding fanbase, Cherry’s
trajectory is unstoppable. Her journey is a testament to fearless creativity, and the best is yet to come.
