Once you find a show you would like to come and see, click “View Times & Book” for the list of performances.
If one of these is an access performance, it will be marked using the following abbreviations next to the performance date.
AD – Audio Described Performances: Live verbal commentary given through headsets to assist visually impaired and blind patrons.
BSL – British Sign Language Interpreted Performances: Signers usually stand to one side of the stage and interpret the dialogue being performed to benefit patrons who use sign language.
CAP – Captioned Performances: Subtitles appear on display on either the side of the stage or via a mobile device for deaf or hard-of-hearing patrons.
RP or CH – Relaxed Performances or Chilled Performances: These performances are slightly reformed to take out or reduce strobe lighting and loud noises, but the content within the show is usually unchanged. The auditorium doors will remain open, and the house lights will be dimmed. Making noises during the performance will not be discouraged, and patrons can freely enter and exit the auditorium whenever they choose.
Some performances have unreserved seating and chill-out spaces for anyone who may become overwhelmed by the performance. These performances are designed to benefit patrons on the autistic spectrum, make involuntary noises, or anyone looking for a more relaxed atmosphere.
Please get in touch with Box Office by phone on 02476 553055 or email at access@belgrade.co.uk if you require assistance finding an accessible performance or seating to meet your needs.
