DF Concerts presents
The Clause

  • The Clause

    Indie Rock

The Clause are a four-piece from Birmingham who bring together the swagger of the 60s, the rolling groove of the 80s and the riotous verve and attitude of the 90s.  Pearce Macca (front man), Niall Fennell (drummer) Jonny Fyffe (bassist) and Liam Deakin (guitarist) effortlessly combine huge hooks with gritty verses, indie sensibilities, rhythm and blues groove and melodies, to create an altogether different beast.

The music defies categorisation, rolling seamlessly from crashing percussion to huge, swinging bass. There are epic singalong choruses destined for stadiums and packed festival main stages, and darker, edgier moments evoking late night cruises down dingy back streets. The band have been together since they were kids and they have matured into one of the UK’s most exciting new bands.

The band have hit the road relentlessly with a series of sold out headline tours as well as main supports slots with James, The Lottery Winners, The Reytons, Pigeon Detectives, DMAs, The Enemy and The Snuts.  In 2024 they were main support for the sold-out K’s tour and followed up with their own 15 sold out dates across major cities in the UK, in November and December, including London, Glasgow, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle and a massive homecoming gig in Birmingham.

The boys have played on the main stage of the legendary Isle of Wight festival and have a packed itinerary of festivals throughout 2025 including Tramlines, Truck and many more to be announced.
The band have been featured, to date, on Radio 1, 6, X and XS as well as Soccer AM & Clashmusic. They were also honoured to play on Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Their EP, Weekend Millionaire, recently charted in the Official Album Chart and Official Independent Album Chart.

The Clause have reached No1 in the iTunes rock chart, they have been playlisted by Spotify on Proper Belters and All New Rock, Apple’s New Music Daily and New in Rock, Amazon’s Alt Rated, Deezer’s Hot New Rock and YouTube’s Your New Alternative Playlist. Their recent singles have witnessed significant overall streaming growth with over 9 million streams and 85k monthly listeners now on Spotify alone.
